I offer a 10% discount on services for military members and their families. This includes Active Duty, Retired, and the Reserves.

That said, I encourage you to receive your services for free through use of TRICARE and other resources available to you. My father served in the Navy, my husband is retired Navy, and I had the honor to work with the military for over six years. Working with military and civilian for the goal of serving our nations best was an experience I will never forget. Thank you for your service, for your willingness to defend us, to risk your very life if required. Your families serve along with you. It is in a different capacity, serving through sacrifice. NMCP (Naval Medical Center Portsmouth) Adult Mental Health: 757-953-5269. This is a department that contains a team of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists. They have branch clinics that you can be seen at: Boone Clinic, Sewell's Point Clinic, Virginia Beach Clinic, and Oceana.

Warrior Recovery Services (WRS) at NMCP: This clinic is devoted to TBI (traumatic brain injury) and trauma. Within this clinic is TAOSS - Traumatic and Operational Stress Services. In order to receive services from this specialized clinic, you must have a provider refer you. TAOSS clinic offers protocol therapies that are designed to assist with trauma. These protocol therapies are Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and EMDR. TAOSS clinic also offers two psycho-educational courses for those whom have experienced traumatic experiences. Both courses are two weeks, taught by a team of professionals.  These are 'Back On Track' for Combat and Operational Stress, and 'Back On Track' for Military Sexual Trauma. Need assistance with alcohol or drug abuse? It's a slippery slope that is all too common, and happens to many. There is SARP (Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program) at NMCP. To access SARP services, talk to your DAPA or get a referral from your provider. For more information, call 757-953-9981.

Fleet and Family Support Center offers individual counseling, couples counseling, and a vast array of educational classes and groups. They have multiple locations to serve you. Call 757-441-2102 for more info.
